After completing A-levels at school in Cardiff, Ceri moved to Dorset to do a BA (Hons) in Multi-Media Journalism at Bournemouth University. She moved back to South Wales after graduation, taking up a role as a Reporter at a press agency, covering tribunals, Magistrates Court and Crown Court trials. Soon after she took up a role as a Junior Reporter at the Penarth Times, completing her senior journalism qualifications (National Certificate Examinations) while there.

In 2002, Ceri transferred to the Central Subs department at Newsquest in Newport, designing a host of newspapers and subbing and headlining their stories, including for the South Wales Argus. She completed various training courses, notably an NVQ Level 3 in Management. In 2013 Ceri took up a new role within the company as News Editor for the Penarth Times and Barry and District News, working alongside the Editor and managing a team of reporters to ensure the papers hit their deadlines.

After leaving Newsquest in September 2015, Ceri completed a Diploma in Social Media for Business. She is now delighted to be using her skills at Group SCS and is responsible for updating social media channels and the company website, as well as writing stories and compiling case studies, among a variety of other interesting and diverse tasks. She has recently completed courses in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign and Adobe Premiere Pro.

Away from work, Ceri enjoys travelling, art (painting and drawing) and baking and is kept busy by her two young children.
