Throughout our 25+ years successfully keeping pace with new industry developments and exceeding customer expectations we have attained a number of industry-relevant certifications, awards and credentials. As well as that, the quality of our work and the engagement of our employees have earned us recognition from a number of industry bodies.
We have attained a number of industry-relevant awards and credentials. As well as that, Group SCS is a member of several well-known organisations.
IFC and ISO certificated
We are committed to having quality systems in place with external auditing carried out as part of this.
We have been confirmed as a certificated installer of active fire protection by IFC Certification. This means we have successfully completed the requirements of IFCC Scheme SDI19 ‘Requirements for Contractors Installing Smoke Control Systems’. The IFCC SDI19 certification scheme has been developed by the Smoke Control Association (SCA) – of which we are a member – in partnership with IFC Certification. Find out more here.
We are also proud to have ISO 9001 certification. We have been quality assessed since 1995; this is carried out on an annual basis against ISO 9001:2015 standard. ISO 9001 certification “provides the basis for effective processes and effective people to deliver an effective product or service time after time”
(ISO 9001 Certification – Quality Management Standard | NQA).
Group SCS was awarded the Investors in People (IIP) We invest in people Gold accreditation for the second time in the summer of 2020.
We were first accredited with the Investors in People (IIP) standard in 1999 and have now held our IIP accreditation for over 20 years with our first three-year Gold accreditation being awarded in 2017.
Achieving a Gold accreditation – which only 17% of organisations achieve – means as a company we’ve got the policies in place but more than that, it means everyone – from Managing Director to apprentice – takes ownership for making them come to life.

Companies are assessed against areas such as business strategy, learning and development, and involvement and empowerment. Maintaining the Investors in People standard represents a true commitment to employees and demonstrates a solid foundation of good practice.
