Additionally, environmental ventilation including cooling is an optional feature for all systems.
Our systems are engineered by our in-house design team including CFD analysis, and bespoke software development as required. All products are third-party tested and certified and we are pioneers of off-site assembly and testing having introduced the first packaged BRE shaft system in 2004 and the first extract fan skid unit with onboard controls in 2014. Our systems are available from our trained Approved Contractor Network or direct from our contracting division.
Standardised MSVS
UniForce Mechanical Smoke Ventilation System
UniForce is a packaged, pre-engineered mechanical smoke ventilation system that will fit most high-rise residential buildings without the need for project-specific design or CFD modelling.
In January 2021, the government announced that the Office for Product Safety and Standards (OPSS) would take on responsibility for the national regulation of construction products. This is in line with a recommendation made in the Independent Review of Building Regulations and Fire Safety led by Dame Judith Hackitt following the Grenfell Tower fire.
All suppliers are advised to ensure that their smoke control products meet the appropriate standards.
The SCS product range complies with all current mandatory standards applicable to MSVS components, including BS EN 12101 Smoke and Heat Control Systems series:

- Part 3 Powered smoke and heat exhaust ventilators
- Part 7 Smoke duct sections
- Part 8 Smoke control dampers
