SCS Group employees united on Friday, December 16, to raise cash for charity by wearing their most snazzy Christmas jumpers.
Employees at the company’s offices in Cardiff, London and Dorset were invited to take part in the festive fun by wearing their most extravagant Christmas outfits – although unfortunately no-one came to work in a full elf’s costume.
CRASH set to benefit
Donations were collected on the day and all proceeds are being donated to the construction industry’s charity CRASH, of which SCS Group is a patron.
It is a unique, practical charity that assists homeless and hospice charities with construction-related projects. It offers pro bono professional expertise, sourcing building materials and the technical knowledge to use them and awarding cash grants sourced from its patron companies.
Macarena Machado, Operations Manager based in Cardiff, said: “It’s so important for us as a company to support CRASH, particularly at this time of year. Our team are always keen to get involved in fundraising and I’m sure that will continue into 2017.”
No Christmas card appeal
The SCS Group is also taking part in the charity’s no Christmas card appeal, by donating its Christmas card budget to CRASH in return for an animated e-card.
