Meet Spencer Allen, Business Development Manager - Window Technology
After leaving school, Spencer began his career by working in manufacturing, producing products for the residential construction sector.
This led him on to GEZE UK where he worked as a Technical Support Adviser on the company’s varying range of products such as manual door control, automatic entrance door systems, moving sliding wall systems and Window Technology. It was then that Spencer was introduced to actuators and controls. Due to the small success, a commercial position was offered to him to help promote the sales growth for Window Technology.
As the sales grew, the role evolved, and Spencer became the National Sales Manager for that product category. While in this role, he strategically put together a small team of Sales Managers, created internal departments to support the sales growth, developed an EN12101-2 strategy and achieved the highest invoiced sales in the company’s history for Window Technology.
In early 2020, Spencer joined Group SCS as Business Development Manager – Window Technology. He is responsible for the sales growth for actuators and controls. His work supports the Window Technology strategy, which aims to develop business in the Glazing Sector.
When asked what his favourite part of the job is, Spencer replied: “Sales, I genuinely love to sell. Working for Group SCS I have a great opportunity to add growth and value to an existing successful business.”
Outside of work Spencer’s main interest is following his football team – Birmingham City – around the country every week. It is a family tradition for him, and his father and youngest son also travel every week to all the games. Spencer says he sees their trips as “good family time when travelling together”.
Spencer also enjoys eating out and going to concerts with his partner Jackie.
