Meet Anna Griffiths, Remedial and Small Works Manager

After completing A-levels in Law, Business, and English, Anna started work in retail, then as a cashier, and later worked as a cabin crew member.

Next, Anna spent nine years working in the hospitality industry in several roles including events planning, managing conferences and banqueting, and Front of House Manager, looking after VIPs and celebrity guests.

Anna later retrained as a Management Coach, supporting learners through management and leadership qualifications, a role which she loved. Eventually, she returned to management by taking on an Operations Manager role in a different industry. Seeking better work-life balance and a chance to be part of a growing team, Anna moved to Group SCS in 2023 as Remedial and Small Works Co-ordinator.

Now Remedial and Small Works Manager, Anna’s work involves going through service reports, ensuring they are sent to customers in a timely manner quoting any remedial actions required. She also looks for compliance or issues that can be recommended to customers to ensure life safety systems on site are the best they can be and in line with regulations. Anna project manages all the work that comes through the remedials team ensuring parts, labour and bookings with customers all come together.

Anna said: “I love working in a fast-paced environment with engineers all over the country. I like investigating options, prices and making sure the customer gets the best solution to the issue they have and ensuring the life safety system is at the forefront of the work required.”

In her spare time, Anna loves going to the gym, roller skating, paddle boarding, sea swimming, baking and socialising. She also loves trying new foods, restaurants and going to concerts and the theatre.

She said: “I adore spending time with my husband, family and especially with my nephew. I love travelling and seeing new places.”
