What is the Group SCS Approved Contractor Network?

Contractors wishing to bring smoke control in-house can become part of the SCS Group Approved Contractor Network and receive discounts on the complete product range, access to free technical support, how-to guides, and a range of training courses covering design, installation, and commissioning of smoke control for multi-storey residential developments. The training is popular with participants, who say they enjoy both the theory and practical elements of the course.

What our attendees say about the course:

Paul Bennett, from PLP Fire & Security, who recently attended the Approved Installer training course said:

“The detailed explanation of standards and design was very informative.”

Mr Bennett said at the end of the training that he would like to get more of his staff on the course, and moving forwards he aims to purchase more Group SCS products.

David Ruane, from Datum Fire, said that he most enjoyed the legislation training and practical application.

When asked how he hoped to change his practice as a result of the training, he said:

“To be more informative to clients/end users.”

Group SCS sub-contractors David Ford and Gareth Arrowsmith from GDS South Wales also attended the course recently. Gareth most enjoyed finding out more about SP300 systems, while David particularly enjoyed the practical HMI training in our specially built training area.

The extensive three-day course at our Technology and Training Hub covers the design, installation and commissioning of smoke control systems for residential buildings as per ADB.
