BMS installation at Treorchy Primary School, Wales

Project title: Treorchy Primary School

Location: Treorchy, South Wales

Client: Electrical Plus

Service: BMS

Project Background

Treorchy Primary School is located in the village of Treorchy, approximately 20 miles from Cardiff and in the Rhondda Fawr Valley. It has approximately 420 pupils aged between three and 11 years old.

In September 2015 it merged with Pentre Primary School and in preparation for this, much work had to be carried out. This included building a new five-classroom extension block and the remodelling and refurbishment of the existing building.

The Project

The Client
Group SCS was commissioned in June 2015 by South Wales firm Electrical Plus to carry out work at the school during the major refurbishment works, with the specifications set by Rhondda Cynon Taf Council.
Our Involvement
Our work at the school was a BMS (Building Management System) project using the Trend IQ3 Control System. For this we designed and manufactured a bespoke panel.
Andrew Massey, Contract Manager at Electrical Plus:
“Group SCS were accommodating. I would phone up my direct contact Dave (Jackson) and it was dealt with straight away or in an agreed time. Additional works were picked up by Group SCS and completed. I found Group SCS to be professional and accommodating."
