What is an Approved Partner?
Our Approved Partners are contractors who receive training and are approved to select and install our range of natural and mechanical smoke venting systems.
What are the entry requirements?
To become an Approved Partner you will need to meet the current entry requirements and hold the appropriate Third-Party Certification and Electrical Certification. E.g IFC, SDI/19, NICEIC.
Smoke Venting Products Covered
As a Group SCS Approved Partner you will have access to our extensive smoke venting product range covering all areas, including:
Standardised, pre-engineered mechanical smoke shaft systems that are dsigned to fit most high-rise residential buildings.
We supply hatch and louvered automatic opening vents (AOVs) and windows suitable for any small single stair building smoke control system.
We offer a wide range of actuators including chain actuators, folding arm actuators, and linear and spindle actuators.
A wide range of smoke control panels to govern simple systems, complex systems, and all the systems in-between.
Our universal, fully addressable damper control system is suitable for the majority of fire and smoke dampers.
Your Obligations as an Approved Partner
We ask you to commit to the following once your business is registered as an Approved Partner:
- Exclusive use of Group SCS smoke control products for two years
- Promotion of Group SCS on your company’s website
- An Annual Purchase Commitment of £200,000 per annum to keep your Approved Partner certification active
- Responding promptly to referrals
The following training programmes must be completed by at least one company representative prior to enrolment on the AI programme:
- Approved Document B: Fire Safety
- Product selection – BS9991: Fire safety in the design, management and use of residential buildings – code of practice
- BS 9999: Code of practice for fire safety in the design, management and use of buildings
- Car Park Systems
- Pressurisation Systems
- Mechanical Extract Systems
Once on the programme, you will have access to a range of optional training courses to suit their business requirements.
