What is an Approved Partner?

Our Approved Partners are contractors who receive training and are approved to select and install our range of natural and mechanical smoke venting systems.

What are the entry requirements?

To become an Approved Partner you will need to meet the current entry requirements and hold the appropriate Third-Party Certification and Electrical Certification. E.g IFC, SDI/19, NICEIC.

As a Group SCS Approved Partner you will have access to our extensive smoke venting product range covering all areas, including:

Your Obligations as an Approved Partner

We ask you to commit to the following once your business is registered as an Approved Partner:

  • Exclusive use of Group SCS smoke control products for two years
  • Promotion of Group SCS on your company’s website
  • An Annual Purchase Commitment of £200,000 per annum to keep your Approved Partner certification active
  • Responding promptly to referrals

Compulsory Training

The following training programmes must be completed by at least one company representative prior to enrolment on the AI programme:

  • Approved Document B: Fire Safety
  • Product selection – BS9991: Fire safety in the design, management and use of residential buildings – code of practice
  • BS 9999: Code of practice for fire safety in the design, management and use of buildings
  • Car Park Systems
  • Pressurisation Systems
  • Mechanical Extract Systems

Once on the programme, you will have access to a range of optional training courses to suit their business requirements.
