SCS Group’s engineers have a busy schedule of work with many sites to visit, so ensuring that they know which site they need to be on and on what day is critical.
In charge of this organisation is Jenny Slocombe, SCS Group’s Aftercare Manager, who joined the company in November 2016.
Jenny is responsible for arranging the Commissioning Engineers’ diaries and does this by liaising with Project Managers to organise labour. Jenny also ensures the correct paperwork is received, signed and processed for each job and authorises timesheets.
Customer care role
Jenny’s progression to SCS Group began when she studied a Business Studies with HR degree at UWIC, having completed GCSEs and A-levels at high school. After that she joined Persimmon Homes as a Customer Care Administrator.
She said: “My role was to liaise with new homeowners about any defects within the property and make arrangements for work to be undertaken.”
After that, Jenny progressed to the role of Customer Care Manager where she was responsible for a team of Administrators and Maintenance Operatives.
She said: “I became more involved in dealing with the complaints which were received, ensuring KPIs were met, meeting customers, sub-contractors and suppliers to improve our service.”
Now Jenny is at SCS Group based in our Cardiff headquarters, but has recently attended our London office on a number of occasions for meetings and a site visit.
She said: “I enjoyed my recent visit to London where I visited one of the sites and had an insight into the systems and how they work.”
In her spare time, Jenny enjoys fitness and likes going to the gym, circuits, swimming and cycling. She will be joining a number of SCS Group staff in taking part in the 10K Cardiff and Vale College Cardiff Bay Run on April 2, 2017.
Jenny also enjoys reading and spending time with her family and friends.
