OUR hard-working service and commissioning engineers are out on site every day, working with new technology and advancing our projects, while forming good working relationships with our clients.
One of our newest recruits is Alan Masifi, who is based in London and started working for SCS Group in February.
Alan comes from a fully automated background. He began his career at Geest Mariner Food in Grimsby where he worked as a Machine Technician.
He said: “I then started my apprenticeship 2003 to 2007 with ONC Equivalent to A-level operation and Maintenance Electrical/Electronic then HNC/HND level 5 Electrical Electronics at Open University via Grimsby Institute of Further and Higher Education.”
Multi-skilled engineer role
He worked as a Multi-Skilled engineer at Muller UK and Ireland, before having to leave when the site was earmarked for closure. Before that he worked for Hovis Erith for nearly four years as a Process Engineer, before being promoted to a supervisory role.
His previous job roles have seen him covering production line breakdown, maintaining and improving machines and attending morning meetings to discuss downtime and for root cause analysis to improve machines across the factory.
Alan said about his new role at SCS Group: “I enjoy my job and am very impressed with company hospitality and training programmes provided, also working with much organised team of engineers. I get all the support I ask for and have very good communication with all staff.”
In his spare time, Alan enjoys playing with his little girl Roza, aged two-and-a-half, and his son, Eron, who is one. He also likes football and supports Arsenal. He has a keen interest in sports cars and also likes travelling around the world.
