SCS Group customer Briggs & Forrester is celebrating after being awarded its sixth successive Gold Medal in this year’s RoSPA Awards.
Additionally, Briggs & Forrester Engineering Services has been presented with the President’s Award for the fourth year running.
‘Very positive year’
On its website, Briggs & Forrester says: “These excellent results come after a very positive year for the Briggs & Forrester Group’s health and safety record.
“Even with increases over the last few years in project turnover, number of man hours worked and number of workers, the company has seen a year on year reduction in accidents and lost time injuries. The Briggs & Forrester Group, and its sub-contracted workforce, completed in excess of 7.4 million man hours and achieved an Accident Frequency Rate & Accident Incident Rate of zero for RIDDOR reportable accidents.”
RoSPA Awards judging criteria
The awards are based on occupational health and safety performance assessed against the judging criteria.
Group Chief Executive Paul Burton said, “To receive these accolades is excellent recognition of our ongoing focus on the health and safety of our employees and those we work with.
“It’s particularly appropriate following on from our successful safety record in 2016, and a fitting celebration during our 70th year. I would like to thank our teams for their vigilance, professionalism and pride in keeping everyone safe.”
The awards will be presented in July.
