Chris Connolly, Contracts Manager

Contracts Manager Chris is one of SCS Group’s longest-serving employees, having started working for the company back in 1997.

Chris started at SCS as a trainee Project Engineer. He then progressed to Project Manager, a role he was in for more than 17 years. While in this position he built great relationships with clients both old and new and provided fantastic customer service, offering a wealth of knowledge about both the industry and the company.

He ensured his customer service was always top-notch throughout projects’ lifespans, from tender stage through to commissioning and handover. He also worked with and supported other team members. While in this role, Chris completed a HNC in Engineering (Electrical) at the University of Wales, Cardiff (2003-2005).

In November 2014 Chris became a Contracts Manager at SCS Group and is pleased to be in this role offering technical expertise and commercial awareness.

Chris said: “I like meeting new people and forming new relationships with customers. I like to problem solve, whether that’s working within the SCS team or with clients. I enjoy the sense of satisfaction when we complete and deliver projects for our customers and like to listen to positive feedback. Every day is different here with new challenges and different types of projects – this variety is something I embrace and enjoy.”

Outside of work, Chris enjoys keeping fit and in particular likes boxing training, mountain biking, spinning, circuit training and five-a-side football. He also likes fishing and cooking. He’s also a football fan and is a season ticket holder at Cardiff City FC.
